too thinWhile I have not yet applied these tiles, they seem a good item.I deducted a star because truthfully, the pattern leaves a bit to be desired, ( what is with the gold slivers?)Something not mentioned is that these have a gap between each mosaic detail, and spacers to duplicate that size gap between individual panels, with the end goal of then grouting as with normal tile. If you do not do that grouting, you will have numerous dirt collecting gaps to contend with. The matrial itself seems robust, and these seem the ticket for a budget, weekend, backsplash upgrade.Full disclosure: I didn't choose these for their intended use. They're actually for a photo project where I wanted to replicate a tile floor at a small scale (update probably forthcoming), and for that, they should work fine. They feel substantial, and the material for the tiles seems of decent quality. That said, there's a bit of a caveat: if you're buying them as a backsplash, I don't know if they'd need additional sealing or grouting; there are some gaps between the tiles, and some degree of flexibility; besides that, it's hard to tell how well the adhesive backing would repel things like water and cleaners, especially with long-term use. I don't think I'd trust them on their own if I was using them for their stated purpose, but since I'm going "off-label," as it were, they're okay for my needs.really cute, but was disappointed that it says you need grout unless on dark walls...the point for me was not to group.I am very happy with this faux tile. The look of the tile is better than I expected. It cuts easily - I used a crafting knife and had no problems (other than my ability to make a straight line). The adhesive is incredible strong. So strong it is nearly impossible to remove. Be sure you are confident of where you are placing this tile because you cannot get it off. If you do manage to pry the tile off, the foam adhesive will still be stick to the wall. This is good for where I want to place this tile, but would be terrible in a rental property where you would have to pay for damages to the landlord. Installation took minutes - very simple. Overall, I recommend this imitation tile as an affordable diy option.
