Created specifically for use with our popular large cast aluminum outdoor fireplaces. This fire-resistant pad will keep your wood or deck area looking new and is easily moved for quick furniture arrangement. Designed as protection from a stray ember or ash from a wood burning fireplace, the fire-resistant pad is not fireproof. It will protect your deck area from embers or a burning log until it can be placed back in the fire. It will not protect your deck from extended high heat or intense direct fire. Think of it as a fire suit for your deck. A fire suit will protect you from sparks and flame but does not help in a 1200 degree oven for extended periods. Not recommended for placement under firepits, short leg chimineas, Blue Rooster chimineas such as the Garden or Pine. If you are using any other fireplace than a Blue Rooster Company large cast aluminum chiminea we recommend putting a patio block or tile under your outdoor fireplace with a hearth rug in front. When using a firepit or short chiminea on composite decking, place a fireproof barrier under all outdoor fireplaces, patio block, tile, bricks or pavers work great. The Blue Rooster Company large cast aluminum outdoor fireplaces can be placed directly on the pad without a barrier. Our fire-resistant pads meet or exceed the CPSC standard FF 1-70 for flammability of carpets and rugs.
